MapQuest wants those eyeballs back. I was brought on by the Mapquest team as the lead visual designer and helped guide the vision to be a simpler, more elegant, faster, more intuitive site that offers more information to plan a trip. A new My Maps feature provides an intuitive custom mapping solution for user to create and share itineraries and the ability to save mapped locations to custom lists. They needed a world class accountt management system where their clients could access all their accounts via single sign on. Part of the project was to create "at a glance" views of client's accounts where it was easy to see how their assets were performing against goals that they set up with their financial advisor. We also created a Fund Finder were clients could easily browse through the different fund available based off their own individual needs. We took the initiative to concept the next generation ATMs, use digital touch screen technology in their retail branches and designed a Microsoft Surface™ tabletop experience where customers and banking agents could interact with Capital One products and visualize the customer's needs. As part of the proposal we also envisioned a retail space for banking in the future.
