MapQuest was long the leader among websites giving people online directions, but Google Maps surpassed it in 2008. MapQuest wants those eyeballs back. I was brought on by the Mapquest team as the lead visual designer and helped guide the vision to be a simpler, more elegant, faster, more intuitive site that offers more information to plan a trip. A new My Maps feature provides an intuitive custom mapping solution for user to create and share itineraries and the ability to save mapped locations to custom lists.
